This lusciously rich Sauternes is made from mostly Semillon grapes with a little Muscadelle and a splash of Sauvignon Blanc for balancing and freshness. Produced from hand-harvested fruit grown on 45-year-old vines its extended length and honeyed palate make it perfect wine with desserts or blue cheeses.
Marsala Vergine is the most refined type of Marsala. It is produced from a combination of 3 elements: Grillo grapes, excellent wine distillate and at least 8 years of ageing in small oak barrels. Intense ruby in colour. Sun-drenched nose with dried apricots, rum soaked raisins and candied peel. Almost dry, with a luscious fruity body and great length.
Made from Grillo and Cataralto grapes which are aged for 30 months in oak barrels-which is more than that required for the compliance with the DOC requirement-to create an inimitable and extremely versatile wine. Amber-coloured with gold highlights. Scents of raisins and vanilla. Warm and full, with an elegant finish of bitter almonds.
